PROBLEMS: While at a local animal shelter, I found that up to 30% of cats surrendered to their shelter have litter problems. In addition, up to 50% of returned cats have problems with their toilet habit.
SOLUTION: Design and develop a short (4-5 minutes long) and engaging e-learning module that that teaches troubleshooting of cat’s litter problems. This course can then be uploaded to the education section of the shelter’s website/app.
To teach troubleshooting, I decided to develop a short gamified course in which the participants are invited to solve the mystery as to why a cat named Gobi refuses to use her litter box.
To this end, I used Twine to create branching scenarios, each leading to different paths with different consequences.
Course Development
After designing the branching scenarios in Twine and writing the storyboard, I then developed this e-learning course in Articulate Storyline 360 while incorporating visuals from Vyond.
Highlights:
A gamified course involving solving the mystery why a cat named Gobi refuses to use her litter box.
